Genetics and Reproduction: Activities, Notes, Quizzes, and Test

7.00

This is not a fully inclusive curriculum and should be used as a supplement to a text book and teacher lecture. The idea is that it will keep students actively engaged with the topic and provide you important check points.

Several different activities for students to engage the material they are learning including tracking the traits of classmates, creating chromsomes, and creating strands of DNA.

Covers the topics of genes, DNA, mitosis, chromosomes, meiosis, sexual replication, asexual replication, traits, DNA replication, Punnett Square, recessive traits, dominant traits, and more.

Also includes three quizzes and one final test with keys.

The information in the presentation is geared toward an introduction to genetics. Principles are introducted, but specifics that would be found in a higher level class (Okazaki fragments) are not included. It does not go over the names of the steps in mitosis or meiosis either.
