Ppt Presentation: Diffusion, Active Transport, and Concentration Gradients

3.00

This PowerPoint presentation is designed for use in a workshop model classroom. Students are shown different diagrams and work in groups to understand how diffusion, active transport, and concentration gradients work. Guiding questions are included to keep students on the right track.

I used this presentation in my own class of 7th graders studying the digestive system. At the beginning of class I gave them a chart to brainstorm what they already know about the topic. Then we go through the lesson (you can either give each group a paper copy or project the presentation). At the end of class I gave each student a sample question (included) to check their understanding. This was a very successful lesson for my class!

I used this lesson in conjunction with our study of the digestive system. It would work equally well with the circulatory system or respiratory system.

An answer key for the summary questions and final questions are included.
